Instructions for Setting up the SAS_CRSP Interface
PREREQUISITES:
1) YOU MUST BE RUNNING NT@CB OR CB2000 ON YOUR OFFICE PC.
2) SAS v 8.2 MUST BE INSTALLED ON YOUR COMPUTER.
3) YOU NEED TO HAVE CRSPACCESS INSTALLED FIRST BEFORE SETTING
UP THE SAS-CRSP INTERFACE.

Starting Installation:
1. Click on Start Menu, Open \Academic Technologies\;
2. Then, double click on the “Install SAS_CRSP” icon.
The installation procedure creates \CB_Programs\crsp\sas\ on your local hard drive D (for CB
user) or drive C: (for laptop users) with the following files:

To retrieve daily or monthly data based on all PERMNOs
or specific PERMNOs in a SINGLE date range |

To extract daily or monthly data based on the user defined
input PERMNO list which can have different date ranges |
| userperm | | A sample file of PERMNO list used in ‘CRSP_perm2.sas’ |
| sasecrsp | | General information of the new SASECRSP Interface Engine and Available Data Sets |
