CCM: Sample Programs
The following data extraction programs are available to download from MCoB research server.
CRSP/COMPUSTAT Merged Database - CRSPAccess Interface (R:\cb_programs\ccm\ccminstall\)
FORTRAN - sample programs (R:\cb_programs\ccm\fortran\ccm1-ccm5\)
- cstall.for - sample program to read all industrial annual Compustat data. This program reads the entire file in gvkey order.
- cstallq.for - sample program takes cnum and cic numbers from
a user-created file called qcst.dat and reads all industrial
quarterly Compustat data.
- cstallperm.for - sample program takes permnos
from a user-created file called perm.txt and reads all
industrial annual Compustat data.
- cstseq4.for - sample program to read a sequential subset of the industrial annual Compustat data.
- cstselect.for - sample program takes cnum, cic, and dnum
numbers and a range of years from a user-created file
called cstcomps.dat and reads industrial annual compustat
data and output selected data items.
