Windows Vista machines: When notified by OIT that your NetID password is about to expire, the only place you need to change your password is the Password Change Page at https://accounts.nd.edu/password. After you change your password, reboot your computer and use your new password to login.
Windows XP machines: You will need to change your password in 2 places so that all of your network drives map at login: 1) OIT Password Change Website Note: If you are using the Netscape browser to change your password, you may be prompted with a box asking what password to change. Scroll through the list in this box and choose SMTP or simply cancel out of the window. 2) Windows Login Password (so that it matches the one you entered on the Password Change website). Scroll down to view instructions for Desktop Users and Laptop Users. For Desktop Users:
For Laptop Users:
If you have trouble sending or receiving mail in Netscape after changing your NetID Password, please follow these instructions: http://mcobit.business.nd.edu/kb/kb.cfm?Action=NEWQuestion&gid=1361 |
