NOTE:

  • IF you are trying to connect the M Drive from off-campus, you must first login to the Notre Dame VPN (Virtual Private Network).  Instructions on how to connect to the Notre Dame VPN can be found at https://www.oit.nd.edu/security/vpn/.
  • We only recommand a high speed broadband internet connection (SBC DSL or Comcast Cable) be used for VPN.

Follow the steps below to map the M: Drive so that it shows up in My Computer

  1. Right click "My Computer" on your desktop and select "Map Network Drive"
  2. Next to "Drive", click the pull down button and select M:
    Next to "Folder", type: \\fs.nd.edu\mendoza
Check the Box next to "Reconnect at Logon"
Click the link "different user name"
  3. Next to User name:, type in "adnd\your netid".  For example, "adnd\tjohnso7"
Next to Password, type in "your netid password"
    Click OK
  4. Click Finish
